Bidmetrics is a marketplace, not a contractor or a client
Bidmetrics connects property owners and managers who need work done with independent contractors who bid on that work. We are not a party to any agreement formed between an owner and a contractor, we do not employ or supervise any contractor on the platform, and we do not guarantee the completion, quality, cost, or timeline of any project.
We don't independently verify license or insurance documents
Contractors may upload a business license and proof of insurance to their profile. Bidmetrics does not verify the authenticity, validity, or current status of any uploaded document with the issuing state board, insurance carrier, or any other third party. A document appearing on a contractor's profile means only that they uploaded it — it is not a verification, endorsement, or guarantee by Bidmetrics.
Verify independently before you hire
Before awarding work or paying any contractor, we recommend independently confirming their license status directly with your state's licensing board, confirming active insurance coverage directly with the listed carrier, checking references, and using any other secondary verification you'd normally use when hiring a contractor off-platform. This is especially important for larger projects or first-time working relationships. Bidmetrics is a tool to help you compare bids — it is not a substitute for your own due diligence.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bidmetrics is not liable for any loss, damage, fraud, or misrepresentation arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to a contractor's misrepresentation of their licensing, insurance, qualifications, or identity, or a project owner's misrepresentation of a project's scope or payment terms. You use Bidmetrics, and any agreement you enter into with another user, at your own risk.
Compliance with rules and regulations
Contractors are solely responsible for holding any license, permit, or insurance required by their trade and jurisdiction, and for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Project owners are solely responsible for confirming that any contractor they hire meets the requirements applicable to their project before work begins.
